Quidel Antigen Test

The COVID-19 Quidel Antigen Test is administered through a nasal swab. The test detects for proteins of the virus distinctive to COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) at 96.4% accuracy for symptomatic patients and 90% on asymptomatic. A positive test indicates active infection. Results in 30 minutes. Price: $120

It’s a test to detect genetic material from a specific organism, such as the SARS-CoV-2 virus also known as COVID-19. The test detects the presence of a virus if you have the virus at the time of the test. The test could also detect fragments of the virus even after you are no longer infected.
